Day 1
Arrive Sydney | Opera House | The Rocks | Harbour Bridge Walk
Arrive at Sydney Airport and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon walk to Circular Quay for the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge across the water. Explore The Rocks, Sydney's oldest neighbourhood with colonial sandstone laneways and the best weekend market in the city. Walk the southern pylon of the Harbour Bridge for free harbour views. Dinner at a waterfront restaurant. Overnight Sydney.
π‘ Tip: Buy an Opal card at the airport for Sydney public transport - trains, buses, and ferries all use the same card and it saves significant money over single fares.
Day 2
Bondi Beach | Bondi to Coogee Walk | Manly Ferry
Morning at Bondi Beach for a swim and coffee at a Bondi cafe. Walk the 6-km Bondi to Coogee coastal cliff path past six beaches with dramatic headland views. Return to Circular Quay by afternoon for the ferry to Manly Beach, a 30-minute harbour crossing with views of the Opera House and Bridge from the water. Evening back in the city. Overnight Sydney.
π‘ Tip: The Manly Ferry is the best and cheapest harbour cruise in Sydney - sit on the upper deck at the front for the best views.
Day 3
Blue Mountains | Three Sisters | Scenic World | Leura
Day trip 1.5 hours west to the Blue Mountains. Echo Point for the Three Sisters viewpoint over the forested Jamison Valley. Ride the Scenic Railway, the world's steepest, down into ancient rainforest. Walk or take the Skyway cable car across the valley. Lunch in the charming mountain village of Leura. Return to Sydney by evening. Overnight Sydney.
π‘ Tip: Scenic World sells a combo pass for all four experiences - Skyway, Railway, Walkway, and Cableway - which is better value than individual tickets.
Day 4
Sydney | Taronga Zoo | Opera House Tour | Sydney Tower Eye
Morning ferry to Taronga Zoo for Australia's best zoo with harbour views - see kangaroos, koalas, wombats, and Tasmanian devils. Afternoon guided tour inside the Sydney Opera House to see the performance halls, the backstage areas, and hear the building's extraordinary acoustic design. Optional Sydney Tower Eye observation deck for 360-degree city views. Overnight Sydney.
π‘ Tip: The Taronga Zoo ferry from Circular Quay is a beautiful journey and the zoo is on the hillside above the harbour - arrive early for the free bird show.
